Maybe this could be our new family tradition. For the second year, we spent a February week at Akvarellmuseet in Skärhamn. One of those places in the archipelago that is crowded in the summer and very peaceful in the winter. A lot of time for exploring nature and aquarelle, what a delight!

As a little spinoff from the “Unique Fellow project” we have printed our favorite quote from Eddie Merckx in color on top of one half of the Ride XL print. We started with soft pink and then a grayish blue. We have decided to print them in very small editions (max 10 per color) as a way to keep them almost as unique as the Unique Fellows. Finland and Sweden have much in common but there are also big differences. Especially when it comes to war and peace. Finland is a young nation and we feel that the fighting spirit is still present. Another big difference is the SAUNA that is a part of the daily life in Finland but in Sweden it’s just something that is offered at the public swimming pool.

With the same cork cubes as we use for the Urban Cube Calendar we have made these blocks. They can be used as a 3×3 puzzle with just triangles and squares. You can have it as your own transformable sculpture, place some of them in a still-life with other favorites, let the kids try new ideas.
